I've Been Busy!

What a great weekend! My sisters were visiting and we crafted all weekend long. Hobby Lobby just opened last week and so we shopped there Friday, Saturday, and would have Sunday, but they are closed. I applaud them for that decision but it cramped my crafting style :) Just kidding. Seriously, it saved me some money. I should send them a thank you note for that! Here's a glimpse of our projects we accomplished:

Finally...some Halloween crafts!

I saw this on a craft blog and fell in love! The project cost me absolutely nothing since I had everything on hand stored in that crazy, overstuffed craft room of mine! If you know me personally, then you know how crazy and out-of-control that craft room is :) Anyhoo, the frames I had purchased this summer at a yard sale, the scrapbook paper I had left over from last year's Halloween festivities, the letters came from my new friend, Jack, who lives down the street, and the glitter is Martha Stewart. A very fun and very easy project!

Since I am a teacher, you can imagine how incredibly busy and overwhelmed I am at the moment! I am working on some crafts but it is taking me WAY longer to complete them because I'm exhausted when I sit down to even start the project. I figure it will take a week before I truly get in the groove and am posting on a regular basis again. I will return though!

Craft of the Day...complete!

   1. started with framed mirrors bought at a yard sale for 25 cents a piece
2. 2. found chipboard letters
3. 3. glittered the letters using Martha Stewart glittering glue and glitter in peridot and onyx
4. 4. adhered the letters onto the mirrors with E6000 and then waited for it to dry

started with unfinished boxes with drawers

painted the edges Mississippi Mud

Mod podged vintage maps on tops of all 3 boxes and on all sides of one of the boxes

the other 2 boxes: brown patterned paper on 2 sides

blue patterned paper on 2 sides

added paper labels and voila!
