Homemade dishwasher detergent

I can't wait to use this! I got the recipe from the blog, The Homesteading Apartment. She has a lot of recipes for natural cleaning products. Check it out!

painted the edges Mississippi Mud

Mod podged vintage maps on tops of all 3 boxes and on all sides of one of the boxes

the other 2 boxes: brown patterned paper on 2 sides

Craft of the Day...complete!

Step1: paint large clothespin a yummy color. Mine is painted with Mango from Memory Makers.
Step2: Cut scrapbook paper to fit.
Step3: Mod podge paper onto clothespin. Add any embellishments you would like. I added letter stickers and used a marker to add "stitch" lines.
Step4: Cover entire front surface with Diamond Glaze and wait for it to dry. I leave it undisturbed overnight for best results.
Step5: Realize that you should have put the letters upside down so that you could stand it up the other way and hold something in its grip. Oh well. I'll just add magnets to the back and use it that way. Problem solved. It just took 4 extra steps. Hence the title of my blog:)

I'm Back!

So, apparently, the "+4" on my blog also means 4 excuses as to why I haven't created a Craft-a-Day in 4 days! One mini vacation to Cape May and I get totally off track. Well, today, I'm back. After carting my son to drama camp, I will be crafting my little heart out until it's time to go with friends to an Italian market that is nearby. On the agenda today: antique window redo, giant wood clothespin mod podge attempt, and old chair redo (I saw this gem on a blog yesterday). I'll post pics as I create!

Here's our display at the Second Sunday Market in Ellicott City, Maryland. It was an absolutely beautiful day...so naturally, we had a fantastic time.

Roadside Rescue

step 2...getting closer!
step 1

Okay, so apparently the "+ 4" now also means "4 more stores to travel to looking for the dang right size wreath to hang on the shutters redo"! I could not post pics yesterday of the project because I can't get it completed! Four more hours maybe:( Here's a teaser of what's to come:

My summer crafts so far

Every single day of my summer break I am crafting something new. I have had so much fun. My sister and I skype almost everyday while we are crafting. It's like we're together and not in 2 different states :)
